Allostatic load (AL) is a complex clinical construct, providing a unique window into the cumulative impact of stress. However, due to its inherent complexity, AL presents two major measurement challenges to conventional statistical modeling (the field's dominant methodology): it is comprised of a complex causal network of bioallostatic systems, represented by an even larger set of dynamic biomarkers; and, it is situated within a web of antecedent socioecological systems, linking AL to differences in health outcomes and disparities. To address these challenges, we employed case‐based computational modeling (CBM), which allowed us to make four advances: (1) we developed a multisystem, 7‐factor (20 biomarker) model of AL's network of allostatic systems; (2) used it to create a catalog of nine different clinical AL profiles (causal pathways); (3) linked each clinical profile to a typology of 23 health outcomes; and (4) explored our results (post hoc) as a function of gender, a key socioecological factor. In terms of highlights, (a) the Healthy clinical profile had few health risks; (b) the pro‐inflammatory profile linked to high blood pressure and diabetes; (c) Low Stress Hormones linked to heart disease, TIA/Stroke, diabetes, and circulation problems; and (d) high stress hormones linked to heart disease and high blood pressure. Post hoc analyses also found that males were overrepresented on the High Blood Pressure (61.2%), Metabolic Syndrome (63.2%), High Stress Hormones (66.4%), and High Blood Sugar (57.1%); while females were overrepresented on the Healthy (81.9%), Low Stress Hormones (66.3%), and Low Stress Antagonists (stress buffers) (95.4%) profiles. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The accuracy of 13C chemical shift prediction by both DFT GIAO quantum‐mechanical (QM) and empirical methods was compared using 205 structures for which experimental and QM‐calculated chemical shifts were published in the literature. For these structures, 13C chemical shifts were calculated using HOSE code and neural network (NN) algorithms developed within our laboratory. In total, 2531 chemical shifts were analyzed and statistically processed. It has been shown that, in general, QM methods are capable of providing similar but inferior accuracy to the empirical approaches, but quite frequently they give larger mean average error values. For the structural set examined in this work, the following mean absolute errors (MAEs) were found: MAE(HOSE) = 1.58 ppm, MAE(NN) = 1.91 ppm and MAE(QM) = 3.29 ppm. A strategy of combined application of both the empirical and DFT GIAO approaches is suggested. 针对震后次生灾害的演化问题,本文采用多案例分析方法提取地震及其次生灾害事件的属性,从属性层次按照“事件类型、关键属性、从属属性、环境属性和危害评估属性”对其进行结构化描述,分析震后次生灾害事件的属性特征,绘出了震后次生灾害演化Petri网模型。在此基础上,以渐变型次生灾害事件——震后瘟疫为例,根据随机Petri网与马尔科夫链的同构关系,构建了震后瘟疫事件演化系统随机Petri网模型。最后,通过马尔科夫链及相关数学方法对震后瘟疫事件演化系统进行了评估,分析其中的均衡状态及其变动规律,验证了模型的有效性,为应对地震次生灾害事件提供科学的应急决策支持。  相似文献

硅纳米材料广泛应用于光功能导向的各个领域,发展针对光功能应用及一维硅纳米结构的规模化可控制备方法,实现硅纳米结构的宏量制备,将为硅纳米结构的应用提供材料保障。本文采用简单的化学气相沉积法成功地在Mo网衬底上制备了大面积的硅纳米线(SiNWs),并通过扫描电子显微镜、透射电子显微镜、X射线粉末衍射仪、拉曼光谱仪,对制备的SiNWs进行了详细的研究。通过在低功率紫外光照射下SiNWs对罗丹明B和甲基蓝的光降解能力的研究,发现在Mo网衬底上生长的SiNWs对于有机染料具有很好的降解能力。  相似文献

The derived projective limit functor Proj¹ is a very useful tool for investigating surjectivity problems in various parts of analysis (e.g. solvability of partial differential equations).

We provide a new characterization for vanishing Proj¹ on projective spectra of (LB)-spaces which improves a classical result of V. P. Palamodov and V. S. Retakh.

This article presented to Combinatorics 2006 is a survey of finite projective planes and the processes used to construct them. All non-translation planes are described, fundamental processes in translation planes are defined and some of these are used to connect semi-field flocks with symplectic spreads. Hermitian ovoids are connected to extensions of derivable nets, and three types of ‘lifting’ methods are discussed. Furthermore, hyperbolic fibrations and ‘regulus-inducing’ central collineation groups are connected to flocks of quadratic cones. A new finite-difference time-domain scheme is presented for the propagation of VLF–LF radio waves in the Earth–ionosphere waveguide. The new scheme relies on the implicit solution of the auxiliary equation that governs the current density in the ionosphere. The advantages and drawbacks of the new scheme are discussed. Its main advantage is its stability condition, which is the same as that of the FDTD method in a vacuum. This permits the time step of the calculation to be increased and then the overall computational time to be reduced. Numerical experiments demonstrate the accuracy of the new scheme and the reduction of the computational time.  相似文献

The analysis of random graphs developed by the author, principally as a model for polymerization processes, is extended to the case of directed random graphs, with models of neural nets in mind. The principal novelty of the directed case is the representation of the partition function by a complex rather than a real integral, and the replacement of simple maxima in asymptotic evaluations by an interesting form of saddle point.  相似文献
